So, the weather in Toronto hovers on the verge of unpleasantly cold. Looking for a fun afternoon in with kids?

Get thee to our newest favourite kid-friendly zone, the Redfish Bluefish Creative Cafe in Toronto.

Come to 73 Harbord St. between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. (you’ll need two hours to complete your project) and bring your old, your tired, your discarded and broken toys yearning to be made new!

The fee is $45 per child and includes a snack of Kiju juice and either a baked good or small bite (ie: veggies + hummus). The activity is suggested for kids ages 7 and up.

MakerKids provides expert guidance on how to disassemble your old toy (there are also hack-able toys there) using tools provided, and then re-make them into new creations using hot glue, duct tape and/or a needle and thread. MakerKids will have a selection of toys and toy parts, craft foam, fabric and other craft materials on hand.

Humpty Dumpty never had it so good.

You can pre-register here or give the Redfish Bluefish cafe a call at 416.960.2233 to check availability.

Bring your favourite old toys to upcycle!
