5 T-Shirts for Father’s Day
We at Bunch are always looking out for you. If you haven’t yet internalized that Father’s Day is happening this Sunday, June 16th (is it early this year or what the hell?) then I’m going to swoop in & save your ass right now.
So, what to get the dad who is easily made happy by a night of bad movie watching and a six pack of beer?
What about the indie rock dad who is constantly, irritatingly outcooling you? No probs. Nothing speaks to a man like a well designed T-shirt (I’m INVENTING stereotypes, I’m just making them up).
So without wasting anymore of your now-precious pre-Father’s Day time, here are the five spots in the T-dot (okay, some of them are online but Toronto-based, people) where you can score a Fathers Day T-shirt.
1. Red Canoe Heritage Brands T-Shirts. These are available online or in their showroom at 1356 Dundas St. W in Toronto. These T-shirts range from military logos to the CBC logo. They are really well-made. Also, they have a pretty universal appeal.
2. The Drake General Store keeps their focus on Canadiana with shirts that feature a map of Canada, shirts that reference the Hudson Bay company and shirts that proudly rep the Toronto Public Library.
3. Speaking of our home team – The Jays Shop, which is online but is probably also a place that exists in the physical world (if you are the kind of person who attends sporting events) has a plethora of Jays related T-shirts that are surprisingly cool (to someone who does not attend sporting events).
5. And if you love a city nerd who loves this city look no further than the Spacing store online. If you’d rather buy things in person I think they sell at a wild variety of stores across town – including Wise Daughters in the Junction and Town on Bloor St at Brock. LOVE your city — wherever you are.
