Bailar y Comer or Dancing and Dining

Beth Blenz-Clucas blogs about music for kids that grownups will love too

It’s cold. It’s dark. What can you do to heat things up in the dead of winter? My solution: eat well and DANCE! These two songs will rev you up:

One of the most exciting new bands in indie kids’ music that I’ve heard lately is Moona Luna. Featuring members of the mom-run band known to many as Pistolera, Moona Luna offers sophisticated Latin American arrangements with kid-friendly lyrics.

Moona Luna’s first CD Piñata Party (which will be released nationally in March) includes the song “Todas las Comidas (All the Foods).” It’s simply a celebration of music, foods and the whole global family. A new video of this song just premiered on Spanglishbaby. I couldn’t agree more with the reviewer’s raves: “Todas las Comidas” is not only a great cumbia style dance tune, it could actually prove quite useful with the picky eaters in your house.
