Pixar Releases Full Trailer for Brave

An entire movie of Scottish accents? Yes!!

After sending out a teaser trailer for Brave earlier this year, Disney Pixar has released the full version and it’s looking pretty promising. We’re guessing the plot is somewhere between Mulan and A Knight’s Tale. Kelly Macdonald plays the princess and we’re hoping that Kevin McKidd is the love interest because he’s so love interest-worthy, yet we can’t bring ourselves to watch him on Grey’s Anatomy. (We’d also be 100 percent OK if there is no love interest.) Plus her parents are Emma Thompson and Billy Connolly, Craig Ferguson makes an appearance and not only is Hagrid in there somewhere, so is Mrs. Weasley! (Makes sense all that red hair in the trailer, there’d have to be some Weasley involvement.)

Brave comes out June 2012.

Six Weeks Without My Family

In the Company of Women

Fiona Highet is working on a play in Winnipeg while her family’s in Toronto

Here’s the thing about the theatre – for the period of time in which you are rehearsing and performing you become part of a family, for better and worse, and with an intensity and commitment that only those who devote their lives to the art of pretend can conjure. So while it is true that I miss my family and ache for them daily like a phantom limb, I must admit that I am now swaddled in a most exceptional family, that although impermanent, is deep and true and providing me with comforts I didn’t anticipate and now wonder how I’ve lived without.
