A Coney Island Love Letter From Robert Kolodny

Take a look at this beautiful video love letter to Coney Island

Were you transported? We felt transported. Filmmaker Robot Kolodny from the Land of Nod, Inc. made us wishing we were in New York and that it was sunny and ideal Cyclone weather. We might need to make hotdogs for dinner to get just the teensiest taste of Coney Island.

Now we really wish it was summer.

News Round-Up Jan. 6: Kardashian Names, Warding Off Isolation With Parent Groups and Bring Kids to Parties

What we’re reading today:

1. The first baby names of 2012 are decidedly Kardashian in flavour: Karis, Khloe, Kyren, etc.

2. Know how your kids can be so loving and wonderful and then they say things like they hate you or you’re a bad parent because… Yeah, just don’t take it personally.

3. More on older moms: some may feel isolated since they’ve devoted their early adulthood to their careers and such, and so there are parent groups.

4. Should you bring a toddler to an adult party? Motherlode says no! We’re actually kinda surprised…

5. New mini kid show: Recess Stories.

The Kinda Sutra is a sometimes funny, sometimes poignant look at how kids deal with information that comes way before experience and context.
