There was a time, just a few months ago, when I said to myself, “You should just try to enjoy this stillness because things will get busy again.” I wish I had listened. But you see, it was really hard to believe that then, when I was spending countless hours with an infant who was content with the falling of a leaf from a houseplant. And now, things feel very busy again. For starters, my little guy turned a year old! A whole entire year. Yes indeed it has been the most amazing, challenging, wonderful, intense year of my life. But now he’s busier: chatting, taking first steps, doing his own thing, being goofy, pacing the hallways, climbing the stars. Wow.
