Our wettest Bunchbrary yet.
Here at Bunch, we confess we are getting really, really sick of all this rain when we should be well into enjoying our May flowers by now. So for this week’s Bunchbrary, we reached out to our loyal Bunchlanders to help us dig up some inspiring and optimistic books about rain so we don’t go too squirly.
1. Come on, Rain (1999) by Karen Hesse
A drought-stricken city is suddenly drenched by a powerful rainstorm. The main character, Tessie, gathers her friends to play outside, and they are soon joined by the neighbourhood moms. This is a beautiful book with gorgeously painted illustrations and it is written with such joy, hope and anticipation, it may just make your family look forward to the next downpour.
2. The Happy Rain (1956) by Jack Sendak
