What you get after 3, 000 hours of working with toothpicks and glue
Did you ever have to build a toothpick bridge in school? Check out Scott Weaver’s toothpick Golden Gate Bridge, which is attached to his Rolling Through the Bay toothpick ball run. Yes, not only is this a massive and inticate toothpick representation of San Francisco, it’s got four separate paths for ping-pong balls to travel along. Awesome.

While your family might not want to start out recreating your hometown, a toothpick bridge, cat, or abstract sculpture might be a fun way to pass a rainy afternoon. Just get yourselves some sort of base (like the side panel of a cardboard box), some white glue and a whole lot of toothpicks. Please send us photos of any creations! We’d love to see and show off your work!
