3. Want your 3-year-old to learn to share better? Read him this story from 1818 about a boy who wouldn’t share. “So he went about to every body — Pray give me something to eat, I am very hungry. And every body said, No, we shall give you none, for we do not love cruel, naughty boys.”

My two-and-a-half-year-old son loves trains — playing with toy trains, riding trains, reading about trains and building trains. However, he recently began to show interest in robots and suggested I make a robot for my new Make It! post. We began the creative process by going on a little scavenger hunt around our apartment for our robot-making-materials. Take a look.
Materials:
Recycled boxes from various household items
Coloured construction paper
Coloured foam sheets
Adhesive tape
Scissors
Glue
Steps: 1. Wrap the recycled boxes in construction paper 2. Begin to build the robot body – head, neck, torso, arms, legs 3. Add details – face, hands, feet, and a control panel
When San Fransico artist Sach Steffel‘s son Max turned four, she threw him an awesome robot birthday party. We just love what she’s done with the decor. If you are planning a party for one of your bunch, Cookie magazine has some great tips for activities and food. Hostess Blog also has some simple decorating ideas which look great and we’re totally in love with Hello Naomi’s robot cupcakes.
