Eden Hertzog is now a mom…and still hungry
My son Cedar was born the day before Thanksgiving. I had hoped that would be the case, since it’s my favourite time of year, and what a thing to be thankful for!
I always make the pumpkin pie, but this year it wasn’t going to happen as I’d given birth the day before we had our turkey. So I had the ingredients waiting, waiting until I could think to do something other than not sleep, nurse or marvel at the little one. I call it Victory Pie this year because it marked the first thing I “did.”
I modified my usual recipe so that this one could be dairy-free, as I was concerned that dairy was giving Cedar gas. That’s the truth. I miss croissants. Let the sacrifices begin!
