Our Royal Wedding Bunchbrary.
It is now only days until Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot in London, and here at Bunch we simply could not let the event pass without at least some Royal Wedding celebration. For this week’s Bunchbrary, we’ve compiled a list of awesome royal-themed films to enjoy with your little princes and princesses.
1. The King and I (1956)
A British governess travels to Siam to teach the King’s 67 children (77 by the second act – busy guy!). She quickly discovers Siamese customs are quite different from those of the British, and the King is annoyed with some of the her lessons. In the end, the two develop a mutual respect and understanding. The film has classic songs like “Getting to Know You” and “I Whistle a Happy Tune;” a recipe for awesomeness if you ask us.
What we’re reading today:
1. Crayola’s new Colored Bubbles look super fun, but that colouring might not wash off hands and clothes all that easily. Via Ohdeedoh.
2. There seem to be a lot more twins these days. Novelist Samantha Hunt found that whereas friends and colleagues were downright giddy when she announced her first pregnancy, the responses were decidedly less so when she announced she was having twins. Blogger Rebecca Woolf is also expecting twins. Do you have twins or triplets? Any tips for these moms?
3. One mom was worried her 6-year-old yelled too much and had high levels of frustration, but realised she herself yelled too much and had high levels of frustration and was passing it off to her kids. How did they all calm down?
