1. You may have heard about a 2-year-old who was mistakenly given alcohol in his sippy cup at a Detriot Appleby’s this week. Apparently a similar mistake happened at a Florida Olive Garden. Salon’s Mary Elizabeth Williams says it’s not just booze you should be worried about.
2. A recent study found that families with two daughters (no more, no less) statistically make for the happiest families. For all you families of three or more kids, Economics prof Bryan Caplan is on your side. “If parents could stop thinking of raising children as a burden, they might go on to have more of them, which [Caplan] thinks is a good thing,” writes New York Times blogger Lisa Belkin.
