Anthony Herrera Designs knows you don’t have to live on Hoth to have some snowy Star Wars fun. With some plain paper, an x-acto knife and these design templates, you can make yourself a veritable republic of snowflakes (or empire, if you’re more of a Dark Side kinda guy/gal). We think we’ll start with a storm trooper. Just remember, an x-acto knife, only by a grownup, should be used.

When I was a little girl, I spent my summers at fine arts camp. Most days were spent designing costumes for the new production or creating sculptures out of found objects. However, one art project I remember very well (and happened to love) was quite simple – body tracing. Body tracing is when you roll out a long sheet of craft paper, lie down, and have a friend trace your body. Then, you cut out the shape and decorate yourself. I can clearly remember positioning myself in the most perfect pirouette position, decorating the tracing with tulle, jewels, and a few fantastic satin ribbons. No ordinary card for this girl!

Remember how much fun you used to have with those little folded up paper fortune tellers? Did you know they were called “Cootie Catchers” in some circles? Strange name aside we thought it would be a great idea to change up the usual Valentine’s Day card by making something a little more fun and interactive with some help from Squigly’s Arts & Crafts.

- Paper
- Crayons / Colourful Pencils

- If you aren’t beginning with a square piece of paper fold the bottom of the paper to the side of the page to make a triangle. Use scissors to cut off the flap at the top. Open the triangle and now you’ll have a square.
