Like many Bunchlanders, we love, love, love music around here. We’re always listening to, playing and shaking our booties to music of all kinds. Anything can happen when the iPod’s on shuffle in the kitchen. (including my default dance move, the robot… but I digress.)

Music is a huge part of our lives, which means it plays an extremely important role in my parenting style.  It’s imperative that my kids understand that there’s more out there than what can be found on the charts.  Of course, I love that my kids have taken an interest in stuff I grew up on.  You’ll find my 8-year-old just as easily singing XTC or Blondie alongside Metric and Vampire Weekend.  Bay City Rollers and B52s shakin’ it up with She & Him and Michael Franti.
