The kids these days are very ambitious.
Two years ago, when the British National Railway Museum Director Andrew Scott announced he was planning to retire, then-6-year-old Sam Pointon sent in the above letter. He loved trains, he figured he’d make a good director. Scott was so impressed with Sam’s initiative, he appointed Sam “Director of Fun,” and Sam continues to serve the museum in this capacity to this day.
And it’s no wonder that Scott appointed him to his current role. Sam’s cover letter clearly states his intent and explains his qualifications. Sam comes across driven confident. And what does he think of his gig as Director of Fun?
