Let Mommy relax
The idea of honouring moms with a Mother’s Day is to show them how special they are and how much their kids appreciate all the hard work they do. While a macaroni necklace seems to express this sentiment adequately, it might be nice for the kids to make something that is specially designed to give Mom some time to herself when she literally doesn’t have to keep her eyes on the kids and household chaos. Sewing School had this idea for a homemade Mother’s Day gift to help Mom relax.
You’ll need:
- 1/2 metre of a soft fabric (washed, dried and ironed)
- 1/2 cup dry rice
- 1/4 cup flax seeds
- 1/4 cup dried lavender
- Sewing machine or needle and thread
Steps:
- On the non-printed side of the fabric, trace out two rectangles that measure 12 cm by 25 cm and cut them out
