You know how it’s recommended that a woman gain 20-30 pounds during pregnancy? I gained that in the first trimester. What can I say? The baby really liked doughnuts. And giant portions. He wasn’t all that into exercise either.
I was really excited to purchase maternity clothes, so I bought a bunch when I was barely showing. Bad move. The Citizens of Humanity cute jeans with the belly panel I ordered off Ebay fit for only a few months. Same with the TopShop dresses and shirts I ordered. By the second trimester, I had to purchase a whole new set of maternity clothing. By the third, I was cramming my massive belly into the newest, and thankfully, last pair of elastic waist pants.
