Golden Globe acceptance speeches are still fresh in our minds and the Oscars nominations were just announced this morning — hello award season! Isn’t it exciting to see your favourite social media site turned into a movie so you can enjoy it, dare we say “like” it, up on the big screen? But when cherished stories get the movie treatment, you inevitably hear: “The book was so much better.”
Yes, often they just really are. So let’s nevermind the $100 million budgets and aggressive CGI; let’s go back to the books.
