Here, he’s hanging out with Mamma Yamma, getting her ready for a photo shoot and extolling the virtues of playing dress-up via a retooling of his hit, “Fashionable People.” Awesome.
Michelle and husband Dave want to give their sons unique experiences
We’re all about sharing our passions with our kids. For Michelle and Dave, that passion is music. Their boys Kale, 7, and Desmond, 3, are well on their way to becoming serious little rockers. When Michelle found out that Brandon Flowers was coming to town, she and Dave figured it would make for a great first concert for Kale.
How did Kale get interested in Brandon Flowers?
We’re always on top of the new music and I grew up around the early punk scene in Toronto, so music’s always been a big thing for me and a big thing for Dave. We downloaded Flamingo and started playing it in the car (We’ve always got music going in the car) and Kale just loved it. Today’s Postcard from Bunchland comes from rock-loving parents Michelle and Dave who run Addaboy Clothing. Joel Plaskett is one of their son Kale’s favourite musicians so when Plaskett scheduled a show in Meaford, Ont., of course they had to go! Michelle said she’s expecting a note from the teacher today saying that Kale was tired and unfocused or something. But as Michelle says, “When else is Joel Plaskett going to play Meaford?”
