On the Ava Show, her Valentine’s Day shtick is a hunky kissing bandit named Besos. Besos goes in for the kill and starts making out with Reagan, which weirds her out and rightly so. Reagan’s worried that Chris will flip out over the prank.  As for Ava’s Valentine’s Day plans, she’s cooking for Kevin (Jason Lee), despite the fact that she doesn’t cook. Insert many obvious she-can’t-cook jokes. Although we did like “Can you get me a ‘bowl’?”

She ends up cooking chili (romantic!) and gets annoyed when Kevin doesn’t seem overly impressed with it. Kevin’s had a tough day at work and gets annoyed with Ava that he can’t talk to her about his day. They yell a bit.  Read more...

OK! So a lot of things happened in the last three episodes and despite the title of this post, we are not going through them all. In “First Night Away”, Reagan and Chris are in serious need of some adult fun time. To ensure this happens, Reagan books them a swanky hotel room and they arrange for their go-to babysitter to watch Amy while they’re away. Of course the sitter gets food poisoning and cancels. Ava happens to witness Reagan’s phone call from the would-be babysitter and eagerly volunteers her services. Not wanting to hurt Ava’s feelings, Reagan agrees.  Read more...
