And this kid is all right. Zach Wahls is a 19-year-old University of Iowa student who obviously turned out super A-OK being raised by lesbian moms. Listen to him speak about the strength of family:

Anyone have any nightmare stories about getting their kids into a particular school? Full-time working mother Allison Weeks in Staten Island figured she’d be all low-key about registering her toddler for the local YMCA preschool program… and then she found herself trekking out in a snow storm at 4:30 a.m. Via New York Times

Besides preschool, other things that are way more complicated than they need to be: babysitters. This L.A. Times article says people hoard the good babysitters, leaving their friends and neighbours to skim Criagslist or buy a subscription to a babysitter matchmaker. Does difficulty in finding a sitter mean you have fewer date nights?
