We take comic books pretty seriously around here, especially any that are slightly offbeat or not really intended to be coloured in by kids. This colouring book hack, which transformed a humble dinosaur colouring book into a delicious lampooning of hipster culture, was a particular favourite.
The Gangsta Rap Coloring Book has actually been around since 2004, but we became aware of its existence today thanks to a tweet from a Bunchlander. It actually kind of reminds us of the History of Rap poster by Bunchland dad Kagan. We know of at least one Bunchland parent who has this poster hanging in her home. We think both the poster and the colouring book are potentially great tools for introducing kids to hip-hop greatest icons.
Would you let your kids take Crayolas to portraits of Biggie and 2Pac? Or would you simply order a copy of The Gangsta Rap Colouring Book for yourself?
