Heartfelt and Still Fun: Brady Rymer and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros

Beth Blenz-Clucas got her pal Eva Glettner of Minivan Blues to guest-post

I love Brady Rymer. He is such a talented rocker and I am blown away by his charisma and his talent. His newest CD makes me so happy because it is all about acceptance. Kids and adults come in all shapes and sizes and it’s important to “love me for who I am.” Is there any better message to teach our young? I think not.

Lucky Diaz and Brett Dennen: Songs to Put a Spring in Your Step

Beth Blenz-Clucas got her pal Eva Glettner of Minivan Blues to guest-post

Spring time is in full effect. Spring break lets my kids know that one week of blissful vacation is followed up by months of summer fun. Everything about spring break screams care-free days, sipping lemonade on the porch and muddy hands searching for worms and other creepy crawlies in the backyard. That’s how we roll. We get dirty and we rock out.

Every spring break needs a soundtrack, and I have just the tunes to get you and your kiddos in the mood. My first pick makes me tap my toes and nod my head to the sound of the beat. Yes, my friends; I am talking about Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band. Their sound is indie-inspired goodness. It’s kind of like Coachella for the organic heirloom apple juice set. Watch this video and you, too, will be feeling the vibe. It has Etsy scrawled all over it and I love, love, love the homemade goodness and down-home funk. I heart me some “Blue Bear.”
