We like looking through Etsy pages to remind ourselves of all the crafting skills we lack and to encourage and inspire ourselves to use the crafting skills we do have. Here are some fun gift ideas we found:

Everything Old Is New Again

Rose Bianchini is pregnant with twins

I have a confession to make. I am a homebody sometimes bordering on hermit. Well not quite. But I am happiest when I am home watching flicks, reading, cooking, baking, dancing in my kitchen and hanging with my hubby.

I also love having friends over and feeding them a yummy brunch of pumpkin pancakes or whatever new recipe I want to try out. It is so much more fun and intimate than waiting in a long hostile line at a hip restaurant. Which is why creating a wonderful and comfortable space is so important.

My husband is exactly the same way. We spend a lot of time organizing, reorganizing, disagreeing and agreeing about what will make our home functional and beautiful. It is one of our ongoing projects – based on what is going on our lives at the time. Being a creative person to me has always been more than my output –which definitely fluctuates. It is about bringing creativity into my everyday life.

Seeing Double

My husband and I are not your typical couple. We both, whether we like it or not, ooze creativity, which comes out in our day jobs, projects we create and our home.

I spend my days creating and writing content for kids; I’m writing and drawing a graphic novel, have worked as a TV producer, directed music videos, short docs and animations, and I also create art. Jason is a designer, visual artist and urban enthusiast who creates designs for an ice sculpture company and for people’s homes and stores. Together as art dynamos we have worked with others to create a plush miniature city kids have contributed to, have art directed films and plays and even have shown our art together. He inspires me and I think I inspire him.

Teacher Appreciation: Your Favourite Gifts and an Etsy Round-Up

The end of the school year is quickly approaching. What’cha gonna do?

It’s safe to say that here at Bunch, we love teachers. We really, really love them. We also know sometimes they have some tough stuff to deal with, like 28 5-year-olds running around and pinching each other, so at the end of the school year, we really want to show our appreciation for all their hard work. This week we polled our readers for some great gift ideas for all the teachers out there.

@charmdone17, Sonya and Michelle go with gift cards from Tim Horton’s, the teacher’s favourite store or a group gift card to a popular mall

Kelly said: My kids donate a signed book to the library and contribute to a group gift, as well as take a photo of themselves holding a personal message
