Apparently, family harmony does not come from money, homecookin’ or even love. The secret to family happiness may be in the gender of your kids. According to the London Telegraph, a study of over 2,100 parents revealed that families with two daughters were happier in general than parents with other combinations of children. The unhappiest? Families with four daughters.

The happiest families were made up of two girls, followed by families with one child of each gender, and then families with two boys.
The unhappiest families were made up of two boys and two girls, three girls and one boy, and three boys and one girl. The most difficult families made up of four daughters. Reasons for this include more infighting, more noise, difficult bedtimes and overall expense.
