Invisible Ink Father’s Day Card

The perfect card for the secret agent dad

In this craft, everyday kitchen supplies are used to make some really cool science stuff happen. Specifically, your Father’s Day message will appear like magic. This great card idea comes to us from the good people at Kaboose.

Mother’s Day Tattoo Cards

Cause your mom is too cool for flowers.

You don’t have to get inked to show mom how much you love her, you can simply make a tattoo inspired greeting card. We found the original instructions for this card on LovelyBud, but those involved sewing and embroidering, and here at Bunch, that is just way too complicated. Also, we don’t have a sewing machine. In any case, we’ve modified the instructions so that you can get the same rock n’ roll look using paper and glue. Now THAT is something to get excited about.

You’ll need:

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pre-made blank cards or cardstock, any colour
  • Marker, black or blue
  • Scrap fabric

Method:

1. Paint or colour a heart on a scrap of fabric.

2. Cut a “banner” out of white construction paper, and with your marker write “Mom” on it.

Valentine’s Day Craft: Paper Fortune Teller Cards

No ordinary card for this girl!

Remember how much fun you used to have with those little folded up paper fortune tellers? Did you know they were called “Cootie Catchers” in some circles? Strange name aside we thought it would be a great idea to change up the usual Valentine’s Day card by making something a little more fun and interactive with some help from Squigly’s Arts & Crafts.

You’ll Need:

  • Paper
  • Crayons / Colourful Pencils
  • Decorating Supplies

Steps:

  1. If you aren’t beginning with a square piece of paper fold the bottom of the paper to the side of the page to make a triangle. Use scissors to cut off the flap at the top. Open the triangle and now you’ll have a square.

Autism Awareness Month: Hippotherapy

For years there have been organizations touting horseback riding as therapeutic for a wide range of disabilities. Recently, autism has been added to the list. Proponents of hippotherapy for autistic individuals claim that the symbiotic relationship between horse and rider helps develop and strengthen theory of mind, balance and proprioception. It’s also really fun! To learn more about therapeutic riding for someone in your bunch, check out the links below.
