Our Big Cat Bunchbrary. Roar.
March comes in like a lamb, out like a lion. Or vice-versa, but it’s pretty lovely and sunny out there today which obviously means we’re in for a crappy end of the month. Where did this one-or-the-other idea even comes from? The Farmer’s Almanac says that our superstitious predecessors believed that there must be a balance both in weather and in life, so what starts out rough, ends up calm.
Whatever temperature swings Mother Nature throws at us, we’re looking forward to a roaring good month. Here are our favourite lion movies. (With a couple other big cats thrown in for good measure.)
1. The Wizard of Oz (1939)
What makes a muskrat guard his musk? Courage. What makes a lion endearing? A lack thereof. (And perhaps a few musical numbers) A cowardly lion makes for a strange companion for a girl from Kansas, but no stranger than a talking scarecrow or tin man. And he definitely makes a better traveling companion than a flying monkey.
