The Buried Treasure of Doctor Seuss

This news may just change your life.

Here at Bunch we couldn’t be more delighted at the news that some long-lost Dr. Seuss stories are going to be published!   Hooray!

The CBC reported that a collection of almost unknown Dr. Seuss works will arrive in bookstores this September.   These just aren’t any random stories either, they were written in Seuss’ heyday, around the same time as The Cat in the Hat and the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, so they are pretty much guaranteed to be a whole lot of awesome.  The Bippolo Seed and Gustav the Goldfish have been likened to “buried treasure” by Random House, the collection’s publisher.

According to NPR,  the nearly forgotten stories were discovered by an avid Seuss collector in a  pile of 1950′s magazines.  He then posted them for sale on eBay ten years ago, where they were then discovered by Seuss’ art director.  How fortuitous!  The rest, they say, is history.
