Ben & Jerry’s Schweddy Balls and Other Delicious Dishes

We hear they’re very tender

We must confess, while we’ve always loved the classic SNL sketch and the Delicious Dish ladies in general (good times!), we’ve never had the urge to try Pete Schweddy’s balls. But now that Ben & Jerry’s have turned those Schweddy Balls into a flavour? Well, we trust Ben & Jerry’s a lot so we’re willing to give it a go.

But the Schweddy Balls got us thinking about other fictional (as yet) dishes from film and literature. The Hairpin came up with a pretty impressive list of tempting foods from the fictional world and we think they were bang-on with Edmund’s craving for Turkish Delight in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We’re not even going to include Butterbeer 1) because it’s a no-brainer and 2) because it exists now so if and when we ever get ourselves to Orlando, we will sit down for a pint at the Three Broomsticks.
