Dress an American Ex-Pat writer in her favourite travel suit or casual ensemble
San Francisco’s Contemporary Jewish Museum has a Gertrude Stein exhibit going on and for Pride week, the museum created paper dolls of Stein and her partner Alice B. Toklas. Along with the five images the museum released on a Facebook page, it writes, “Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas were a distinctive couple, and they developed a style of dressing all their own. Alice favored a more feminine look, and Gertrude embraced androgyny as she did in other aspects of her life. We created paper dolls celebrating the many outfits of Stein and Toklas for San Francisco’s Pride event, and these are a few of their looks.”
