This Saturday, July 6th from 1-4 p.m., the Hive is offering a free popcorn hackjam to youth from 10-18.

What is a a popcorn hackjam? In this case it’s a hands-on course using a software called Popcorn Maker, designeded to teach the basics of video editing. Kids 13 and under have to be accompanied by an adult. This event is open to all skill levels and promises to teach something new to everyone. You are required to bring a laptop (tablets and smartphones won’t work) and be aware that even though they are providing snacks you should come with a full belly and your own water bottle.

Here is a video made by Kathryn Meisner, the Hive’s Director, using the Popcorn Maker software.

SIGN UP for the event here.
