Bunch, the Stephen Lewis Foundation and kids in Africa need your kids’ drawings!Happy 2012! We’re kicking off the new year not with a resolution but with a dare: Starting on Monday, January 16th, we dare your kids to draw a picture a day for 30 days. And we dare you to support their dare by pledging $1 per drawing to the Stephen Lewis Foundation to help turn the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa. This project is called Dare to Draw and it’s something we are doing in partnership with a whole bunch of amazing sites not just to raise money to support families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa but to support your interest in raising a generation of kids who are empowered to care.
The Dare starts on Monday, January 16th, but right now, we need you to join our Dare to Draw Team and download and sign the Dare to Draw pledge (it’s pretty sweet, hang it proudly on the wall). Once the Dare officially starts, we’ve got more downloads and fun stuff to give to all your daring kids!
One more time, here’s what we need you to do:
2: Download and sign the Dare to Draw pledge! Now hang it up on your wall!
3. “Like” Dare to Draw on Facebook. This is where the community of Daring families can share kid’s drawings and stories about your Dare to Draw experience with other Daring kids and parents.
4. If you want to work ahead, go on and download the Dare to Draw Dare Chart! It will tell you and your kid what the drawing theme of the day is and kids can check off drawings they have completed.
So get pledging and drawing! Who knows how much good we can do if we all work together. Last year’s Dare to Drum did result in a pretty cool Sloan video…
