DIY: I Spy Book
Whitney, over at rookiemoms.com, had an amazing idea that turned into a great project. She and her four-year old grabbed a bunch of random objects, had a super-fun photo shoot, and they created their own special I Spy book.
By making it yourself, you’ll be able to determine the level of difficulty, and your bunch will love the novelty of searching for, and recognizing, their favorite toys and objects from around the house, on the page.
Another great idea is to create your custom I Spy around special themes or family inside jokes. We love the idea of opening up a book to pages like: Under Jen’s Bed, The Kitchen Junk Drawer, Things Sam Won’t Eat, or Matt’s Superhero Collection. Once you’re done, you can upload your pictures to a self-publishing site to create your own glossy, bound books.

Thanks Ashleigh! I love the “Under Jen’s Bed” and “Kitchen Junk Drawer” extension of this idea. I think my husband might appreciate a framed photo of the contents of the kitchen junk drawer.
Thanks Whitney! I’m so glad you liked it. Love your blog!
