Gever Tulley, the man behind the Tinkering School in California, has turned his TED2009 (more about TED here) talk all about Tinkering School into a short comic that you can read online or print from a high resolution PDF (caution, very large file ahead!)
Tully is a passionate advocate of putting power tools into the hands of children. Tinkering School is an intensive 6 day summer program which provides kids with real tools, a vast array of materials and simply lets them decide what to do with them. Using trial and error, and with minimal instruction, kids build structures, create not-so-simple machines and come away with a feeling of competence that’s hard to match.
