Introduce your kids to this 1980s classic
The two-year-old terror at Bunch HQ is obsessed with The Last Unicorn. We can’t really blame her, we watched it countless times in our youth, so what’s a few hundred more screenings? (Seriously, the kid can’t get enough of it)
What’s great about this movie :
- Mia Farrow. She generally looks pretty delicate so is 100% believable as a unicorn… at least as far as unicorns are believable.
- Jeff Bridges. He’s all princely and stuff. It’s fun to contrast this role with more recent ones in Iron Man and True Grit
- It’s a classic battle against evil. The Red Bull is a giant, fiery ball of evil. And he’s terrifying. (Just a heads up)
- To quote our favourite 6-year-old, “There’s a skeleton in this movie! A skeleton who drinks wine!” (We thought that’s what Cougar Town was all about, but we prefer The Last Unicorn)
