Imagine a city designed entirely by kids. On March 29, Yahoo! Canada presents The Bunch Family Salon at OCAD, a one-of-a-kind, one-day-only experience where kids and parents work with top architects, artists, thinkers and designers to imagine and build the city of their dreams.

Kids and parents will take part in a think tank, design playgrounds, create a wind powered art garden, build a massive cardboard city, go on guerilla green missions, be photojournalists, create public art and play an urban planning game.

The city theme at this year’s Salon stems from the idea that if we get kids thinking about what makes a city great, we will end up with great cities.

The team behind this world class event includes: Art Gallery of Ontario, archiTEXT, Bunch, Design Exchange, Evergreen, Institute without Boundaries, Learning Through the Arts, Spacing Magazine, Toronto Renewable Energy Co-operative and Ontario College of Art & Design.

To ensure that kids from all parts of Toronto get to share their vision of what a city should be, some free admissions to the Salon will be given to families in need through the non profit groups Kids Up Front and Art City.
